As the Product Marketing Manager for Square Banking, I led the U.S. launch for the entire Square Banking product portfolio, GA-ing our Loans product, Checking product, and Savings product through one cohesive GTM launch in 2021. The launch included developing a content strategy and product positioning for the suite of products, and activating across key channels such as public web, email, in-product, social (primarily tweets from our CEO, Jack Dorsey), and video.
Square Banking continues to be one of the most differentiated product features for Square’s ecosystem, and an industry defining product (our loans algorithm and product structure has been copycatted by nearly every competitor). It is still one of the highest NPS products we offer, and enables SMBs to get the financing they need to open a new location, stock up on inventory, or avoid unfair fees from traditional banks.
