After interning with Teach for America in college, I set my sights on building a career in education after college. In my first full-time role, I worked with Uncommon Schools to open Leadership Prep Brownsville Middle Academy in Brownsville, Brooklyn. I led the front office of the school, managing attendance, pickup/dropoff, family communications, and overall operations for the school in its first two years in existence.

I learned so much about how to communicate with people of all ages, how to successfully build relationships, and how to manage the most stressful of operational and emotional situations. One of my fondest memories is taking my students on their first field trip of the year to Bear Mountain in upstate New York (selfie as proof to the right).

My pivot to the creative industry was an unexpected but welcome shift. Ask me about it when we chat!
